Huge cabochon cut ruby to the front of this vintage sterling silver gilt ring dating from the 1980's. The stone has been tested as a ruby, there are natural feathers in the stone, but it is of a fantastic size & colour please see the pictures. The ring shank is made from sterling silver gilt, the '.925' silver mark being found to the inside of the band. Size UK N+, US 6.75 or internal diameter 1.713 cm or 0.7 inches. Size of head 2.1 x 1.9 cm or 0.8 x 0.7 inches. Weight 8.9 grams or 5.7 penny weight.
